SINGING AND THEATER IN LATIN
On 13, 16, 20 and 22 July, from 17:30 to 18:30, we invite you to join us for the communal singing of Latin texts. The programme will include pieces of varied character — from ancient poetry, through medieval works, to contemporary compositions, showcasing the many facets of Latin.
The afternoons during the Summer School are not only devoted to classes, but also to intensive preparations for a theatrical performance. Under the guidance of Caecilia Koch, the participants will work on a play in Latin, exploring the creative dimensions of the performing arts. On Friday, 24 July, the results of their work will be presented on stage. We warmly invite everyone to attend this event!
LATIN LITURGY AND ORGAN MUSIC
In Wrocław, Holy Mass in Latin is celebrated every morning. Exact times and locations will be provided later, together with the publication of the classes’ schedule. Interested participants are invited to join in the singing of Vespers in Latin in the evenings.
During the summer, free organ concerts take place on Fridays at 19:00 in St Elizabeth’s Church.

On the first Sunday (19 July), we will go on a trip to Mount Ślęża (718 m above sea level), and on the following one (26 July), we plan to visit a town called Trzebnica. - Others stayed at the Wratislavia Hostel, which is located about 25 minutes away on foot from the Summer School’s venue.
- Some participants chose to stay in the dormitories of the Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences, from which the Summer School’s venue can be easily reached by public transport.
After registration, you will receive a link to a WhatsApp group that will help you connect with others who wish to rent an apartment or dorm room together: Contubernium tempore Scholarum Aestivarum.
