Winter Workshop 2026
The winter workshop will take place on 27 February – 1 March 2026 at the Institute of Classical, Mediterranean and Oriental Studies, University of Wrocław (21 Komuny Paryskiej St.) – ATTENTION: not the place where the summer editions usually take place!
In this edition, we plan to run at least three groups, each at a different level of proficiency.
Tirones: the target group is beginners, i.e. participants who have not studied Latin before or who only know the very basics.
Provectiores: the target group is participants who have completed 90–120 hours of Latin study and encountered most grammatical topics (spoken Latin is not required). Text to be used in class: Epitome Historiae Sacrae.
Veterani: the target group is participants who have completed at least 300–360 hours of Latin study (spoken Latin is not required, but a certain degree of fluency in listening comprehension will be necessary). Text to be used in class: De Rerum Natura by Lucretius.
The final number of beginner and intermediate groups (Tirones and Provectiores) will depend on the profile of participants enrolled in our workshops.
